Should I Stay or Should I Go?

I don’t even know if it’s okay to divulge what I truly feel in here hahaha. 😥

I like what I do, I get to write every day, I see my work on print, I see my work on social media. I’m satisfied. Ganern.

But when it comes to the company benefits, annual increase and everything for employee’s welfare, bagsak kulang sira sabog nakakainis kawawa nakakaiyak.

My salary is okay, I can live with it. Hindi naman ako maluho and I’d like to think that I’m so good with budgeting everything so my number 1 concern isn’t even my career progress, growth and promotion. My concern is how will I get a health card for my mom. In this company, we have an HMO but we can’t have dependents kaya napapaisip na ako. I want to let this job go and explore other options but I can’t seem to find anything. It’s so hard to find a new job pala talaga jusme!!!

I was once a call center agent at Telus, I loved it there. CompenBen are amazing, they love their employees and treat them as human beings but vacation leaves don’t get to be approved easily, the shifting schedules are crazy and I wanted to be a career woman back then.

Pano ba to? Hahah!

  1. Hanap ka muna ng lilipatan before you leave. Haha.

If it helps, pwede ka magavail ng Health Card for your mom kaso on your own expense. Medyo masakit nga lang sa bulsa.

Hehe ang sipag kong magbasa and magcomment no? Sorna haha

Yeah, yung dati kong company may dependents up to 6 pa nga eh. Kaso nung time na yun hindi need ni mama kasi nagwowork din sya tapos may HMO sya. eh since nagretire na sya, ayan. nako. hahaah

Adulting it is. hahaha. pero makakakita ka nyan kasi karamihan ng mga companies ngayon are practicing work-life balance plus extended benefits pa. kailangan lang magtyaga. pero nararamdaman kong matatagpuan mo yun. 🙂

  3. Gaya nga ng sabi nila, “You can’t really have it all.” There’s no such thing naman kase as a perfect company.

Kapag naman yung positive or advantages ang nangibabaw sa pag-stay mo dyan, then just stay.

Baka pag lumipat ka, after a few months may blog ka uli na sana pala hindi ka na lang umalis. We don’t want that to happen, so think about it.

Kung issue ang health card sayo, like what Ymhej said, pwede mo naman siya ikuha na lang sa labas. Pag-isipan mo Ey-la.. 😉

  4. Is your mom sixty na? Kasi if she is, hindi narin naman siya icocover ng HMOs kahit sa BPOs. If HMO lang din naman primary ang reason mo to leave the company, you can get her own HMO pero ikaw nga lang ang magbabayad.

Stressful ang BPO since nanggaling ka dun, you know the drill. Agree ako with what Jeff and Ymhej said, pros and cons. Mahirap maging jobless ngaun. Even homebased hindi ganun ka lucrative when you are starting pa lang.

  5. Girl, feel kita. Tama yung commenter above me. You can’t have it all, and there’s no such thing as a perfect company. Compare and contrast lang yan! Good luck!
