When all we ever use it for is to look at our flaws. Never our hearts.
You stare at yourself to see if you have something on your face. If your make up looks good. If your hair turned out to be nice instead of a disaster you were expecting.
You look at yourself but you never really see what’s beneath it all.
I look at myself, I look at my insecurities, I look at how people might see me. I just look but I never really see.
Oh what love it is to just break this mirror of insecurity. To tear it down. To get away from it.
